To solve the climate problem given rapidly growing global energy demand, we will need all of the following, each on a much larger scale than currently envisaged:

• Energy Efficiency improvements that lead to overall reductions in energy consumption
• Renewable Energy such as Concentrated Solar Power
• Modern forms of Nuclear Power
• The rapid development of Carbon Capture and Storage (CO2 Sequestration) technology

All of the above to be promoted by appropriate Economic Instruments such as carbon taxation.
